Girl's Camp 'trading card' box template

     Have the girls write their names and wards on the box, then cut out and assemble the boxes at craft time or on the first day of camp:

Included with this template with the 2012 youth theme is sizes for leaders to create their own messages to give out.  Notes from stake/ward leaders and girls can also fit inside this box, pictures can be cut to size.  Or can be used for trading cards.  Multiple uses . . . like earning camp requirements =)  Attach a charm or bead to a card, etc.

Ewwww, what is it???!!!

Guesses - seaworm, centipede, millipede, etc.
We searched online and found it was a sandworm and we were sure because not much is known about them as they burst and die if they feel threatened.  Well, yes, we were poking it and at one point threw it into the ocean to see if it swam . . . but it had already burst in the gut region and wasn't going to give us any kind of show ;)

Sandworms are the creature that the movie Tremors features - graboids - my boys loved those movies - yeah, there's 4 of them.  So unfortunately I am just as familiar with these movies as Brady & Keaton.  I came across this drawing after we returned from San Juan . . . it is just so funny how related things 'pop up' after being recently exposed to similar experiences.

I designed this for my Easter lesson for my primary class.  There was an idea for it in the CTR manual . . . but I took the lesson part for the actual story because I liked it better . . . and added cuter graphics ;)  I laminated their copies.

General Conference

For the morning session on Sunday, we put out candy and next to each kind, words we thought we might hear during conference and yes, we all were 'candied' out after 2 speakers - LoL

For the afternoon session, we got to choose a bag we could play with for each speaker - I think they were intended for the little kids, but the adults had way more fun with the contents?

We also all chose a word that wasn't church related and if their word was mentioned, they got the prize of NO DISHES DUTY for the entire week of vacation.   Colten's word was fishing and Keaton's word was aircraft and they both won!

Sushi

We took a sushi-making class and we made rolls and then got to eat them - YUM

Crab and avocado

 Spicy Tuna

 Prawn, Scallop and some white fish - can't remember

Wouldn't it be fun to serve a dinner and everyone made their own sushi rolls??!!

Wreath

I made a floral arrangement for my front door - instead of the linen wreath I just made, which is now inside my house and I like it better

I ended up cutting my pieces into different widths and I used linen for a bow.

Cheesecake

I made a cheesecake (3 of the 4 layers were my own recipes, but all flavors together were my own creation) to sell for the remaining amount of Keaton's Eagle Scout fundraiser - it helped buy the roof portion of the horse shelter at Dougherty Farmstead, so thanks everyone!

Cheesecake is not my fav, but I bought a slice to support Keaton and because I figured someone else in my family would enjoy it.  I had to have one bite and it is so yummy - I refuse to share!
